Dementia Café is a service to help enrich the lives of people living with Dementia and their partners/carers. We are running a number of free Dementia Café's in and around Maidstone area to offer a safe and calm environment to meet others living with dementia, share experiences, get information and advice, as well as to help you get out of the house and socialise.
We will also be offering peer support groups and carers group to offer ongoing support, support for those with a new diagnosis of Dementia, support for family and carers and support for those with young onset Dementia.
Who can join?
The Dementia Café's are open to anybody who has an interest in dementia – whether you are personally living with dementia, a carer or family member, or even just wanting to find out more. Come along and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, cake and biscuits, have a chat and maybe make new friends. You can also get information & advice and signposting. No need to book and free to attend but any donations greatly appreciated.
Refreshments will be supplied free of charge.
Please note: If you need personal or physical support, please come to the events with a carer or family member.
When and where do they take place?
These café's will take place in and around the Maidstone area.
1. Maplewood Court, Northumberland Road, ME15 7TA. First Monday of the month from 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm
2. Invicta Court, Gidd's Pond Way, Weavering, ME14 5FY. First and third Thursday of the month from 10.30 am - 12.30 pm
3. Tovil Green Court, Tovil Green Lane, Tovil, ME15 6NE. Every third Monday of the month from 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm
Peers Support Group
Social group for sharing experiences and connecting with others and making new friends. For individuals with early stage Dementia/Alzheimer's. Includes drinks and a sandwich lunch.
Please advise of any specific dietary requirements in advance. £5 per session.
Takes place on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 11 am - 2 pm at Maidstone Community Support Centre, 39-48 Marsham Street, ME14 1HH.
Carer Group
Provides support and build connections for caregivers. Enjoy a tea or coffee and biscuits.

Takes place 3rd Wednesday of each month from 10 am to 12 pm at New line Learning Academy, Boughton Lane, Loose, ME15 9QL.
