A purrfect trip on the Talking Bus

Wednesday 27th February saw the return of The Talking Bus, an initiative of our West Kent Befriending Service created to combat the loneliness felt by so many of the older people in our community.
We were amazed by how popular the bus has become, it was fantastic to see our double decker bus packed full of chattering passengers. Thank you to Arriva who put on a shadow bus for us as our group left only standing room for regular users of the service!
This time we travelled to Tonbridge and lunched at Paws Cat Café. The clients were thrilled to enjoy their usual tea and cake in the company of the adorable animals. There were plenty of cameras about too as KMTV were covering the event, and Play Mountain Social Media and Inspired Villages Group were filming our promotional video for the service.
