Age UK London Statement on Transport for London funding

We have been watching the latest announcements about the Transport for London (TfL) funding deal closely. Better transport benefits everyone and funding must be in place to protect and increase accessibility on the TfL network.

We also await news about a decision on the pre-9am weekday suspension on Older Persons Freedom Pass and 60+ Oyster Card use. Until a decision has been made we reiterate our call for the Mayor to lift the suspension and reinstate concessionary travel before 9am. This is particularly important during this time when older Londoners face increasing daily pressures due to the rising cost of living. We thank our thousands of supporters for getting behind this campaign and will keep you updated as further announcements are made by TfL.
