Age UK London's "It's Never Too Late!" campaign is working to increase the flu vaccine uptake across Greater London.
Flu vaccine uptake in London is worryingly low. Not only does London not meet the level of flu vaccination instructed by the World Health Organisation but 18 of the 20 CCG areas with the lowest flu vaccine uptake across England are in Greater London.
As part of our campaign, Age UK London are delighted to host a free half day conference entitled "It's never too late - Increasing flu vaccine uptake" which will be taking place on Tuesday 26th November and will run from 10am until 1pm followed by a light sandwich lunch.
This is your chance to hear from expert speakers to learn the best ways to support older Londoners to get their flu vaccine this winter. If you work with older Londoners in any capacity make sure you attend this event.
Confirmed speakers include:
- Professor John Oxford - Chair, Global Hygiene Council
- Catherine Heffernan - Public Health England, Principal Adviser for Commissioning Immunisations & Vaccination Services
