Age Allies Focus Groups

Age Allies is a brand new 3 year programme being developed by Age UK London that will help tackle age discrimination and issues around access to services in London.
Whether it’s buses or banking, housing or health care, leisure activities or local authorities, older people are increasingly shown to experience ageist attitudes and behaviours when accessing various services.
Funded by the City Bridge Trust, Age Allies will develop and deliver a series of workshops within various public organisations (such as Councils and NHS organisations) and private sector companies who will then pledge to make improvements to service delivery and staff attitudes towards older users.
Participants will then cascade and promote the Age Allies agenda within their organisations.
To start the project, we are holding a series of focus groups and need YOUR valuable insight and involvement.
We want to hear the views of older people on the current attitudes/behaviour towards when accessing various services in London and what improvements could be made.
Can you spare a couple of hours to help us design the programme to make it as successful as possible and maximise its impact? Help us challenge ageism in London by coming along to one of our informal Focus Groups taking place at the Age UK London offices.
