- Location: Louth (with occasional cover required at our other shops in East Lindsey)
- Hours per week: 19.5 hours over 3 days to include weekends and occasional bank holidays based on a rota.
- Salary: £9.50/hr
About the role
We are seeking a Sales Assistant (Mobile) to work under the direction of the Shops Area Manager to provide cover at our Louth shop and, when needed, at other shops within the East Lindsey area. You will be supporting Shop Managers during their times of planned leave and other absence, ensuring that our shops are open and trading effectively.
You will have previous experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. You will be able to work efficiently, as part of a team, and possess a 'can do' attitude. Please be aware that some moderately heavy lifting may be involved in this job. Main responsibilities, tasks and duties:
- To contribute to all aspects of the shop trading performance with a view to reaching target.
- To accept donations and promote the charity’s Gift Aid scheme, including signing up new donors and processing all relevant paperwork.
- To sort, prepare and price stock for sale.
- To support the shop with online sales.
- To ensure backroom areas are kept in a workable state.
- To complete daily safety checks and appropriate cleaning.
- To ensure other Age UK Lindsey services and products are promoted.
- To be secondary key holder for the shops premises.
- To ensure the shop is clean and well merchandised and ready for trading at all times.
- To ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- To provide mobile cover for shops within the East Lindsey area when required
