Peter Levy falls victim to a scammer

Well known News Presenter, Peter Levy has reported on scams many times during his career, but still fell victim to a sophisticated telephone scammer and we thank him for sharing his story - showing that any one of us could fall victim to a scammer.
Mr Levy said he felt "ashamed and embarrassed" for trusting the caller but added that scammers are "great actors".
If you think you may have fallen victim to a scam or fraud it is important to report it as soon as possible by contacting your bank and the police. Peter Levy reported it to his bank as soon as he realised he had been scammed and has now received all of his money back - so there is hope if you speak to someone about it.
