We are sorry to share the news that the Board of Trustees of Age UK Lindsey has entered a period of consultation regarding the future of the organisation.
Age UK Lindsey has faced a number of financial challenges due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the ongoing cost of living crisis, both of which have placed huge pressure on available resources.
We have been seeking further advice about the impact of these financial challenges and one of the outcomes of this could be the closure of the charity.
Age UK Lindsey’s priority has always been maintaining the support provided locally to older people in Lindsey and North Lincolnshire, as a result we are working closely with neighbouring local partners and the national Age UK charity to explore alternative support options for older people.
We know that this will be concerning for the older people we support, as well as our staff, volunteers, partners and supporters. These are unprecedented times and we will be working as hard as we can to keep older people and our staff and volunteers updated.
If you have any questions about this please contact Info@ageuklindsey.co.uk
Older people, as well as their friends, families and carers, looking for support can also contact the Age UK national advice line on 0800 169 6565.
