Age UK Lincoln & South Lincolnshire offers a free and confidential information and advice service for older people aged 50 and over, their families and carers.
Over the last year our advisors received 1,035 enquiries, helping older people in the Lincoln & South Lincolnshire area to receive over £1,646,834 in previously unclaimed benefits, allowing people to remain independent, have more disposable income and feel supported to live comfortably.

How to Access the Service
You can access our information and advice service in a number of ways:

At our office: Pop into our Activity Centre, 36 Park Street, Lincoln to make an enquiry (between 9.00am and 3.30pm)
Confidential Face 2 Face appointments are available Monday to Friday both in the home, or through an office visit at our Activity Centre.
Please call 03455 564 144 to make a referral. A trained advisor will then contact you to discuss your referral and arrange an appointment.
Drop in Fridays – Our friendly advisor will be on hand between 10am and 2pm to deal with any information and Advice enquiries you may have (subject to availability). All enquiries are confidential and at a pace to suit you.
Special arrangements may be made if required. Please let us know if you need any additional support when enquiring.
Our Information & Advice advisers are trained to help with:
- Access to social care - Support finding a care home, processing social care, completing an assessment of need, assessing funding criteria for care and support.
- Housing options, help and support - Information on how to live independently in your home, access to aids and adaptations to help you remain independent at home
- Welfare Benefits - Including a benefit check and help with applying for pension age welfare benefits
- Legal issues - Information guides and factsheets on making a Will, Power of Attorney, and how to deal with an estate.
- Information and fact sheets - We can provide information on all the above areas and more, paying for temporary and permanent residential care, Cost of Living and Energy Advice, Warm Home Discount.

We're hosting Virtual Veteran's Drop-ins, every Tuesday from 10am 'til 2pm. Cost of Living and Energy Advice for Veterans
As part of a brand new project, we now provide Cost of Living and Energy Advice, tailored to Veterans, Carers and their families aged 50+
Who is a “veteran” in the UK? A Veteran is anyone who has served for at least seven days in the Armed Forces (Regular or Reserve).
