Age UK Lincoln & South Lincolnshire is an independent local charity, part of the Age UK brand partnership, supporting more than 5,000 older people every week. We have two exciting vacancies for Telecare and Maintenance Technician's who will be responsible for providing home maintenance and telecare equipment installations within older people home’s, enabling them to remain independent at home.

  • 21 hours with a salary of £14,224 per annum 
  • 35 hours per week with a salary of £23,707 per annum
  • Permanent contracts
  • Office based and visits to clients
  • Full driving licence and access to a car is required

 

About the role

The Telecare and Maintenance department plays an integral part in ensuring customers maintain their independence and enjoy later life.

 As a Telecare and Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for successfully delivering Home Maintenance services, personal alarm installations and servicing - to enable people to remain safe and independent at home. The role will also include delivery of a range of Maintenance services at Age UK Lincoln & South Lincolnshire’s premises.

The post holders will have excellent customer service skills and will ensure that customers are able to access available services and equipment that will support and enhance their wellbeing.

Organisational skills are an essential attribute for this position to ensure a high quality of service delivery is achieved. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be a problem solver and have a can do attitude.

Being able to approach and resolve customer enquiries in a practical manner is essential to this role. Having a background in a semi-skilled trade would be advantageous, but not essential.

You will be expected to promote all of Age UK Lincoln and South Lincolnshire’s services, acting as an ambassador for the organisation. Applicants must have a proactive approach, a willingness to learn and be flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of our customers.
