Remembering Dr Wendy Mitchell

Dr. Wendy Mitchell, a remarkable woman, has sadly shared her final blog post.
Leaving behind inspiration and advocacy for those living with dementia, her mission to make a difference shed a light on paths of positivity.
Through her direct experience, we have learned lasting lessons on challenges for people living with dementia, but also how to overcome those challenges and continue to live as full a life as possible - Wendy certainly did!
We were very privileged to have Wendy talk at our Dementia Conference in October last year, and if you do one thing today, please make yourself a cuppa and watch her presentation. Her way of opening up understanding to little changes or ways of thinking that support those living with dementia is inspirational, and we know have helped many come to terms with their diagnosis.
What can you do to make one little change in your workplace, local community, or personal understanding, that you take from her presentation? How can you support her legacy and her voice to continue?
Our dementia support service ‘I forget’ will continue to share Dr Wendy Mitchell’s drive for education, understanding and guidance.
