Corporate partner wins award

One of Age UK Lewisham and Southwark's corporate partners, Pool Re, has won the Lord Mayor’s City Giving Day Award for the Best Collaboration.
Pool Re ran its hugely successful annual Scavenger Hunt in support of this year’s Lord Mayor’s City Giving Day. Teams comprised of friends and colleagues swapped, searched and photographed their way from EC3 to London Bridge to raise awareness for the Lord Mayor’s Appeal. All of the money raised from the afternoon’s fun was matched by Pool Re.
The Scavenger Hunt was a huge success, raising £2,012 for Age UK Lewisham and Southwark's Stones End Day Centre, continuing their generous support of and partnership with the charity. The money raised will help vulnerable older people in the borough of Southwark to access support at the day centre, and to improve the experience for the Stones End members.
This event won Pool Re the prestigious Lord Mayor's City Giving Day Award for Best Collaboration. Thanks and congratulations to all our friends at Pool Re!
More information about Pool Re's involvement with City Giving Day can be found on the Lord Mayor's Appeal Charity website.
