The Last Orders Project raises awareness of the problems associated with drinking alcohol and other forms of substance misuse to people over the age of 50.

We are delivering workshops and interactive sessions in community locations promoting the importance of safe and responsible drinking.

The Last Orders project gives older people easier access to a wide range of information that helps them understand the importance of safe drinking, including information about the possible contraindications of drinking when taking medication as well as the dangers of other substance misuse. It also promotes wellbeing and prevention initiatives, especially for people at risk of developing drinking problems.

Interactive workshops will encourage people to recognise and acknowledge the potential dangers associated with alcohol and other substances, and to understand different possible trigger points.

Along with a volunteer who is in recovery, we visit people in the comfort of their home to discuss the support which is available. We will always give non-judgemental information and advice as well as linking individuals, their carers and families to other support services.
