We are recruiting for a Marketing & Fundraising Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity to work alongside the Marketing team by adding value and support, which in turn contributes to the overall goals & objectives of the Charity.

Marketing & Fundraising Assistant

The Marketing & Fundraising Assistant will support both marketing and fundraising activities, including ordering and distributing materials, updating online platforms, and handling general administrative tasks such as responding to enquiries and managing email accounts. The role involves creating, scheduling, and posting social media content, supporting service managers with social media requests, and monitoring for complaints or messages.

Key responsibilities include updating corporate/media contact databases, searching for media coverage, producing analytics reports, and maintaining the social media calendar. The assistant will also coordinate updates with other departments, assist with events, and perform other tasks as needed. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across the teams is essential.

General Administrative Support:

  • Respond to marketing and fundraising inquiries and maintain records of activities.
  • Order and distribute materials, proofread content, and assist with website and collateral updates.
  • Manage marketing/fundraising email accounts and provide general admin support.
  • Compile data for reports, including the Board and Annual Impact Reports.
  • Liaise with service managers and Age UK national as needed.
  • Provide support during staff absence (e.g., annual leave).
  • Support the Marketing Exec with general administrative support

Marketing and Fundraising:

  • Update website, Google Business accounts, third-party listings, and materials.
  • Assist with marketing and fundraising campaigns, including printing and distributing collateral.
  • Collect data and analytics for reports, such as Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite.

Social Media:

  • Create, schedule, and post content, supporting service managers and Media Champions.
  • Monitor and respond to social media inquiries, highlighting issues to the line manager.
  • Keep the social media calendar updated and track media coverage.

Media and Events:

  • Handle media enquiries and support media coverage with the Marketing Exec.
  • Assist at corporate and fundraising events, including volunteer support.
  • Maintain an up-to-date list of media contacts and coverage.

Hours : 15 hrs Monday – Friday (Working pattern to be agreed with the candidate.  A minimum of 1 hour a day but totalling 15 hours over the working week.)

Salary range  £8995 - £9995 per annum

Contract: Permanent
