House Clearance Operative

As part of our mission to support older people in their everyday lives, we provide a range of services including a professional house clearance service across Leicester & Leicestershire to clear homes of unwanted items.
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable House Clearance Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for clearing properties in a professional, efficient, and respectful manner, ensuring the safe removal and disposal of items.
Key Responsibilities:
- House Clearance: Carry out the clearing of household items, including furniture, appliances, clothing, and other goods.
- Item Removal & Disposal: Safely and efficiently remove items from properties and dispose of them following environmental regulations.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with clients during house clearance projects.
- Property Protection: Ensure that the property is treated with care during the clearance process, minimising any damage to walls, flooring, or fixtures.
- Sorting and Recycling: Identify items for donation, or re-use.
- Loading & Transporting: Use appropriate equipment to load and transport items to designated locations, or recycling facilities
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided.
- Knowledge: Within a retail/charity setting with an interest of antiques/collectables
- Physical Capability: The role involves manual labour, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
- Driving License: A valid driving license is preferred, especially if you will be required to operate company vehicles.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and respect clients' properties.
- Good Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with clients in a polite and professional manner.
- Team Player: Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently when required.
- Good IT Skills: Ability to provide quotations, with a breakdown of costs and the completion of clear and accurate paperwork

Salary: £9987.99 per annum
