Caretaker / Maintenance Person
At Age UK, we are dedicated to supporting older people. As a Caretaker / Maintenance Person, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our staff and clients by maintaining our facilities to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
You will actively support the Centre Manager and the general housekeeping team, ensuring the security, care, and availability of the building, furniture, fittings, and equipment ensuring a satisfactory environment. You will also support the health and safety department with the relevant checks to our retail shops and other Age UK buildings completing statutory health & safety checks along with providing accurate information.
Skills :
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by identifying and addressing maintenance needs promptly.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance projects, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills when working independently or with colleagues and staff members.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests and addressing concerns professionally.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Customer service-oriented approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use your initiative
- Awareness/Knowledge & experience of Health & Safety
- Thorough and pay attention to detail
- Ability to problem-solve
- Work well within a team
- Desire to help people

Hours: 40 Hours per week may include some weekend work (paid overtime)
Salary: £25,341.49 per annum
