Casual Day Club Cover Manager

At Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland, we are currently seeking a Casual Day Club Cover Manager. This role involves providing support across Leicester and Leicestershire, helping older people attend our day centres. It’s a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about managing a fantastic service that ensures our service users enjoy fun-filled days, including arts and crafts, day trips, and entertainment, all while addressing their individual needs.

The impact of this service goes beyond the clients, providing invaluable support to families and carers as well.

This is an excellent career opportunity, offering the chance to meet a diverse range of clients across various centres. You’ll work closely with the Service Manager and our dedicated Day Club Organisers and volunteers.

You must be a vehicle owner & driver, with the ability to gain business insurance.

Key Skills & Characteristics
• A relevant qualification in health or social care
• Proven experience in supporting older and vulnerable people
• Previous experience in staff management or supervisory roles
• Creative mindset
• Supportive and caring nature
• Friendly, personable demeanour
• Understanding of the needs of older adults, including mobility, mental health issues, and dementia
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent IT proficiency
• Professionalism and integrity at all times
• Highly organised with exceptional planning abilities
• Ability to handle challenging situations effectively
