Age UK Lancashire’s Good Day Calls service provides essential companionship and support for older people who are lonely, isolated, or housebound. Through regular friendly phone calls, our dedicated team offers a vital social connection, reducing feelings of loneliness and improving well-being.

In addition to providing emotional support, we also offer signposting to other Age UK Lancashire services and external organisations, helping older people access practical assistance, welfare advice, home support, and social activities.

For many older people in Lancashire who have little or no contact with family or friends, Good Day Calls is a lifeline, offering reassurance, companionship, and a much-needed connection to the outside world.

What is the Good Day Calls service?

This is a telephone service supporting older people who may be isolated or lonely. We make regular calls offering support and a chat.

Day/Hours of operation.

This service operates 5 days a week throughout the year, except Christmas week.

How to access this service.

This free service is available for Lancashire residents age 65+. Priority given to those who are housebound/isolated.
