Age UK Lancashire provides a professional nail cutting and foot-care service for older people aged 55+. Which includes advice on how to improve and maintain general foot hygiene, while also providing a reassuring check to deal with any potential foot care problems.

Our foot-care team’s top priority is to ensure your foot-care needs are met. Having regular foot-care provided by our expert dedicated team will help you to stay comfortable and mobile.

We provide home visit for clients that are housebound.

Prices

Joining Fee:
Initial assessment with podiatrist/practitioner, treatment plan and nail kit - £20.00

Home Visit Appointment:
Basic toenail cut and file - £23.00
Gold package* - £28.00

Clinic Appointment
Basic toenail cut and file - £18.00
Gold Package* - £23.00

*Gold Package - a longer appointment which includes the basics and a combination of 2 treatments for both hands and feet such as foot soak, fingernail clip (and file), nail painting or foot massage.

Where do we provide our Foot Care Service?

Our team can deliver this service to patients at our clinics or in the comfort of their own homes.

Tarleton Clinics:
• Tarleton Health Centre, Gorse Lane, Tarleton, PR4 6UJ. Appointments available: Tuesday weekly.


Ormskirk Clinics:
• Brookside Retirement Village, Aughton Street, Ormskirk, L39 3BH. Appointments available: Thursday weekly.

• Age UK Lancashire, Wellbeing Centre, Moorgate, Ormskirk, L39 4RY. Appointments available: Monday weekly.


Skelmersdale Clinics:
• Sandy Lane Health Centre, Skelmersdale, WN8 8LA . Appointments available: First Friday of each month.


Chorley Clinics:
• Clinic held within Baked,108 Market Street, Chorley, PR7 2SL. Appointments available: Thursday weekly.

• Briary Court Clinic, Bamber Bridge, Chorley, PR5 8LE. Appointments available: Wednesday every 4 weeks.


Home Visit Appointments:
• Chorley. Appointments available: Monday & Wednesday.
• Ormskirk. Appointments available: Tuesday & Wednesday.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide the service to anyone with the following conditions or taking the listed medications:

• Diabetes. Foot-care for Low-Risk Diabetics now available in West Lancashire only.
• Rheumatoid Arthritis.
• Steroids (in tablet form).
• Anti-Coagulants such as Warfarin/Apixaban (any medication ending in xaban). Foot-care
now available to people on blood thinning medication in West Lancashire only.
• Some other medication combinations may result in exclusion, our team will advise.
