At Age UK Lancashire, we offer dedicated dementia support across Chorley, South Ribble and West Lancashire. Our aim is to empower older people living with dementia and their carers, providing the resources, support and guidance they need to live well and prepare for the future.
How we support people with dementia in Lancashire.
We provide one-to-one post-diagnostic support, where our dementia Services Team visits individuals at home to assess their needs and create a personalised support plan.
We also offer Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST), a free 12-week programme that helps maintain cognitive abilities, boost mood, and improve social connections. CST is the only non-medical treatment recommended by NICE for dementia.
Additional services we provide.
Free monthly social groups for people living with dementia and their carers, offering activities, support and guest speakers. No booking required.
