Shop Volunteering
At Age UK Lancashire, we depend on the invaulable support of volunteers in our shops to help us raise much needed funds for our charity.
Joining as a volunteer at Age UK Lancashire offers a fulfilling opportunity to support a local cause and make a difference to the lives of many older people in your community.
You have the flexibility to decide the amount of time you volunteer and in return you'll acquire new skills, gain valuable experiences, meet new people, and become an integral part of an amazing team!
Volunteering opportunities in our shops
Age Uk Lancashire have 9 shops across Lancashire (all locations can be found here). In each of our chairty shops we have arnage of roles which are higlighted below.

Meet Brenda
Brenda is one of our longer serving Volunteers having supported our St. Anne’s Charity Shop for over 8 years. The Shop Manager Debs describes her as an angel and really would be lost at times without her help!
"It's a great experience for younger and older people, you can learn so much and gain confidence and skills".
Meet Avril
Avril volunteers at our Bispham Charity Shop and was encouraged to join by a friend who also gives her time to help in the shop. Avril is currently being trained as a Lead Volunteer. More recently her efforts were recognised when she was recently nominated for Volunteer of the Year at our Annual Celebration Event.
"It has helped me overcome some personal challenges, develop my skills and I am now much more confident. I really would recommend volunteering".
Meet Jane
Jane has been supporting our Oswaldtwistle Charity Shop for some years now and started to volunteer as a way of increasing her self esteem and confidence. Jane helps the Managers there with a variety of tasks however more recently she has found she has a gift for creating beautiful instore and window displays and receives many comments on them.
"Volunteering has changed my life! I've made new friends and have grown in confidence. I really enjoy helping the staff and customers in the shop".
