Retirement Planning Workshop Volunteer Facilitators
Location: Various Locations across Lancashire & over Zoom/Teams
Hours-One or Two full days per month.
We do not expect a minimum time commitment from any volunteer.
Are you semi retired/retired and keen to share your experience of making the transition from work to retirement? Do you enjoy talking to people and facilitating groups and meetings?
Planning for your Retirement workshops are delivered virtually or at different locations in corporate meeting rooms or community settings. These one-day sessions provide holistic information for those interested in planning for their retirement. The workshops are arranged by Age UK Lancashire staff, hosted by volunteers and delivered by solicitors, independent financial advisers and health trainers.
Your duties would include:
- Welcoming & registering participants.
- Ensuring the sessions run on time.
- Managing break times.
- Setting up and Clearing away at the end of the sessions.
- Sharing your experiences with people.
Facilitators will usually work in pairs and you will be an integral part of the delivery team with full support from the session leads and Age UK Lancashire staff. This is an interesting and varied role with opportunities for meeting new people and learning new skills.
