The Dementia Companionship Service is designed to bring enjoyment and stimulation to people living with dementia within the comfort of their own home according to their own needs, benefitting carers with some respite.
About Dementia Companionship
Dementia Companionship is a one-to-one service designed to enable individuals living with dementia or memory concerns to be supported in continuing to pursue their interests, take part in meaningful activities, maintain their independence and retain or develop social contacts. Our aim is to provide a service which suits every client's individual needs and interests.
Our ethos is to understand the person with dementia, and allow them to be themselves in a safe, non-medical and stimulating environment. This gives their carer valuable respite time, reducing the potential for crisis intervention. The service aims to:

✓ Maintain independence
✓ Reduce isolation
✓ Improve daily living skills
✓ Encourage hobbies and interests
✓ Enhance wellbeing.
The service is available Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm.
