Carnival 2024

The Age UK Kensington and Chlesea Crnival Party was inspired by the culturally significant Notting Hill Carnival, offer older generations the chance to safely enjoy festivities that they may no longer be able to attend due to health and mobility issues. This event help participants reconnect with their Caribbean heritage, engage with their community, and celebrate with friends and family in a safe, enjoyable environment.

Over the past six years, this initiative has significantly improved social connections, and morale, particularly in North Kensington, this is because the event brings joy and entertainment while strengthening community bonds, fostering connections that extend beyond the event and nurturing ongoing community spirit.

We had an amazing turnout with approximately 250 people in attendance and we hope to continue the tradition next year!
