If you need a stairlift, walk-in shower, telecare personal alarm, mobility scooter or any adaptations to your home, we can help you to work out where to start first. Our aim is to help you feel confident in your home and in getting out and about.
Assitive Living Technology (Telecare)
We can help clients to get Assistive Technology (sometimes referred to as ‘Telecare’). This equipment provides residents, their carers, and their family and friends with the reassurance that help is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Adults who are at risk of falling, getting lost outside the home, who smoke in the home and many other circumstances could benefit.
Housing adaptations
We can organise for adaptations to help you feel confident in your home and to reduce your risk of falls. This could be a handrail at the entrance to your home, or in your bathroom. It will start with an assessment of your home and needs to make a referral to Occupational Therapists. Whilst some adaptations are available for free via Occupational Therapists, some adaptations might be paid-for services e.g. a walk-in bath.
Mobility Aids
We can refer you for an assessment for walking frames and other mobility aids. For manual and powered wheelchairs, buggies and specialist seating services for adults with mobility problems, you’ll need to get an assessment via your GP.
Hearing Aids
If you are finding it difficult to hear, we can provide information about how to get a hearing test.
We can let you know about transport options to get to your appointment or if you have mobility issues, services that are available from home.
