How are you feeling this January? If you're feeling flat and in need of something to help clear the January gloom, there's lots going on which we hope will help!
Lazza is running a Healthy Minds Healthy Bods Workshop, especially for men on Monday 13 January, 12-2pm at the Old Fire Station (his enthusiasm is infectious!). We'll follow-up with a light lunch and there's the opportunity to stay on for the regular Men's Group if you'd like.
There are also further Men's Groups, Multi-sports Get Togethers and a Men's Wellbeing Workshop that might also be of interest.
Men’s Healthy Minds, Healthy Bods Workshop

Would you like to gain greater awareness around healthy thinking and a healthy lifestyle? Could you do with some inspiration to kick start your own life? Do you really appreciate just how special you are?
Book to join Lazza and Jack for a fun interactive session to discover what micro-changes we can make in our lifestyles to improve our confidence and wellbeing.
There's also the option to stay on for a light lunch and the regular Old Fire Station Men’s group to follow from 2pm.
HMHB was developed by "people who overcame crushing issues, and found simple changes can create significant benefits." As they say, they "aren't psychologists, psychiatrists or nutritionists, but just take a straightforward approach to taking responsibility for doing what they can to look after their own health."

Men’s Wellbeing Workshops
Thursdays 16/23/30 January, 11am - 1pm

Hosted by Beyond Equality, these workshops will provide a space to discuss your mental wellbeing and pick up tools that can help.
The three workshops will cover:
- Men & Mental Wellbeing
- Masculinities & Seeking Support
- Building Supportive Communities

Men’s Groups
Following on from the recent World Darts Championships, you might be interested to know that you can have a game of darts yourself locally in weekly social groups in Islington.
Drop-in for dominoes, darts and ping pong* or bring your own favourite game, drink tea and hang out. Open to all men looking to make new friends and unwind in a welcoming space. (*at Whittington Park Community Centre).

Finsbury Winter Warmers: Walking Football
Finsbury Better Leisure Centre, Norman St, London EC1V 3PU
From 13 January, Mondays, 10 - 11am followed by refreshments
Mondays from 13th January – 3rd March (excluding 17th February)
Join us on Mondays for a friendly, slow-paced match of Walking Football.
We’ll play at Finsbury Leisure Centre’s outdoor artificial pitch, so please wear
suitable shoes and clothing and bring some fluids. We’ll finish with a hot cup of
tea and a chat at Islington Museum. Drop in, no need to book.
Or meet at Michael Cliffe House reception at 9.45am for a
gentle walk to Finsbury Leisure Centre.
