Founded in 1973, we are a local, independent registered charity providing services to support Islanders aged 50+, their carers and families. We provide information, advice, and home support to promote wellbeing, resilience, and independence; empowering older people to live the life they choose.
Our vision is to work in partnership to enable older people on the Isle of Wight to live well, and independently, while not feeling isolated or lonely. Join our team and start making a difference!

Support Workers - JAY
Join our friendly team and help make a positive impact on the lives of our clients – we are seeking empathic, patient individuals to join our JAY (Just About You) home help service as casual Support Workers, helping clients all over the Isle of Wight maintain their independence and live comfortably in their own homes. Whether it’s assisting with shopping, cleaning, meal preparation, or simply providing companionship and taking them out for a cup of tea and cake, we are here to ensure our clients receive the support they require. Available working hours between 9am and 5pm, hourly rate in line with Real Living Wage, no weekend or evening work, no personal care or medication administration.

Work/Life Balance

- 28 days paid annual leave, plus 3 days Christmas Shutdown, PLUS bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time staff)

Pay
- As an accredited Living Wage Employer, we are committed to paying all our employees a fair wage that is responsive to the cost of living.
- Company Sick Pay – (permanent employees only) amount dependent upon service length
Pension
- Age UK IW currently provides a pension scheme with Legal & General. All employees are eligible to join the scheme, either via auto-enrolment or as a voluntary joiner. Your minimum pension contribution is 5% of your salary, automatically deducted every payday. AUKIW will contribute 3% to your pension pot.
