Deadline Approaching for Financial Support for Flood-Affected Residents
Published on 22 December 2023 02:51 PM
Residents who were affected by the flooding caused by Storm Babet between 19th and 25th October are reminded that the deadline to apply for financial support from the local council is fast approaching.
The Isle of Wight Council is offering financial assistance to households impacted by the floods, with a maximum claim of £500 available to help cover immediate costs. However, it is important to note that second homes and empty properties are not eligible for this support.
Residents are urged to submit their applications before the deadline of 4th January 2024 to ensure they can access the financial aid they may require. This support aims to alleviate some of the burdens faced by those affected by the flooding and assist in their recovery process.
For more information on how to apply and the eligibility criteria, residents are advised to visit the local council's website or contact their dedicated helpline.
