Cowes Medina Bowls Club Hosts Successful Chatty Brew for Age UK Isle of Wight

Published on 18 June 2024 10:17 AM

Cowes Medina Bowls Club recently played host to a fantastic Chatty Brew event, held on the 13th of June, 2024. This monthly social gathering, organised by Age UK Isle of Wight, welcomed attendees from all across the Island to come together, socialise, and learn more about the services provided by our organisation.

The event was a resounding success, raising an impressive total of £53.30 for Age UK Isle of Wight's Good Neighbour Scheme. Cowes Medina Bowls Club generously offered their venue for the event and treated attendees to a complimentary game of bowls. In addition, they provided homemade cakes free of charge and encouraged donations to be made to the charity instead of payment.

Chatty Brews are open to all individuals interested in getting involved with Age UK Isle of Wight, whether by learning about their services, socialising with their peers, or exploring volunteer opportunities. The event serves as a wonderful platform for fostering community connections and supporting the work done by our independent charity on the Island.

We extend our thanks to Cowes Medina Bowls Club for their support and generosity in making this Chatty Brew event a success.

Our next Chatty Brew will be hosted by Parkland's Cafe on the 9th July, 2024.
