Ageism
Ageism is discrimination or unfair treatment based on a person’s age. It’s important that ageism is tackled to make sure that nobody loses out because of their age.
Human rights
Human rights are basic rights that belong to all of us simply because we are human. They embody key values in our society such as fairness, dignity, equality and respect.
The Equality Act
The Equality Act protects you from discrimination or unfair treatment on the basis of certain personal characteristics, such as age.

EU citizens and settled status after Brexit
If you are living in the UK but you were originally from a country in the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, you must apply to stay in the UK following Brexit.

Befriending services

We combat loneliness through our befriending services, where a volunteer befriender provides companionship to an older person.
