Leave a legacy
When creating a will, our natural desire is to ensure that our loved ones are taken care of. But you can also make a lasting impact by leaving a legacy donation to charity, offering something special to many older individuals in Hull & East Yorkshire who have no one to turn to during difficult times.
Age UK Hull & East Yorkshire provides crucial services to older people who are struggling financially, feeling isolated, or facing health and home concerns without support.
The vital work we do wouldn’t be possible without the generous gifts and donations we receive. A legacy gift to Age UK Hull & East Yorkshire is essential in enabling us to continue funding and supporting services that are in high demand.
These services include:
- Information and Advice Service: Your legacy gift will help older people continue to access benefits advice and information they are entitled to, ensuring they can live independently and enjoy a fulfilling later life. In 2024, we helped local people access £1.5 million in new benefits.
- Positive Activities Sessions: Gifts will help us provide a range of activities like Social Groups and Walking Football, giving older people the chance to make new connections, stay active, and improve both their physical and mental health.
- Befriending Service: We offer telephone, home visiting, and pen pal services for older people, including those who are housebound. Your legacy gift will help us connect with those who are lonely or isolated, ensuring they have someone to talk to and boosting their overall wellbeing.
- Falls Prevention Team: A legacy gift ensures we can continue providing support, home visits, and advice to older individuals at risk of falling, as well as guidance to organizations who work with them. This service is essential for keeping older people safe and out of hospital.
