As temperatures drop, BBC London highlighted the vital role of the North Harrow Community Library, a warm hub funded by Harrow Giving. These hubs are more than just safe spaces; they are community lifelines where people can connect, converse, and receive expert advice from various organisations on issues that impact their lives. Age UK HHB is one of those many supportive organisations.
One example is an older resident who had their pension credit stopped, which also meant losing their winter fuel allowance. They needed urgent advice and were connected to Age UK HHB, who were able to help. These hubs are especially crucial for older adults who may feel isolated and lonely, providing a welcoming environment to foster connections and support.
Age UK HHB offers guidance on benefits, housing, and more. Book an appointment by calling 020 8756 3040, Monday to Friday, between 10.00am and 1.00pm and discover how we can support you.
Let's build stronger, more resilient communities together.
