Boxmoor Good Neighbours is a scheme launched by residents of Boxmoor to support older neighbours in the community. The Scheme aims to help older Boxmoor residents who are unwell, lonely, disabled, facing a crisis, or need temporary support and do not have family or a good neighbour to turn to.

Boxmoor Good Neighbours offers:

• Help with travel - to medical appointments, such as surgery, dental or hospital

• Shopping - a weekly service delivered to your door

• Prescriptions collection - pick up and delivery of prescriptions

• Simple Gardening - help with simple tasks like mowing grass or cutting back bushes

• Companionship/Befriending/Comforting - with home visits (when permitted) or phone calls

• Special Events - Fish and chip suppers, cream teas, picnic lunches, canal boat cruises and more...

Boxmoor Good Neighbours is supported by Age UK Dacorum and Neighbourhood Watch with initial funding from the Hertfordshire Police and Crime Commissioner.
