Roof Renovation Scam is Underway in Hertfordshire

Trading Standards has received reports that companies have been cold-calling offering a ‘roof renovation service’ in Hertfordshire. 

The service generally involves pressure-cleaning and painting of roofs, it is very expensive and experts advise it is likely to cause damage to the tiles, harm the lifespan of a roof and create an unnecessary need for ongoing maintenance.

Hertfordshire Trading Standards would advise against having this kind of work carried out on your home.

Trading Standards also advise against dealing with cold-callers, suggest you should always get at least 3 quotes for work, and to use a reputable approved trader scheme such as Which Trusted Trader to find reliable tradespeople.
