New scam alert claiming to solve medical problems

Age UK Hertfordshire have been informed of a new scam claming to solve older people's medical needs.
Elderly Hertfordshire residents are being targeted by offenders detailing they have a new medicine that will help cure their medical problems.
An elderly resident from Hertfordshire has recently been targeted by these scammers and has been appauled by their actions.
"The scammers knew i had a prostate condition and they offered by six patches and two bottles of syrup that they explained would cure by problem."
"I later found out by my GP that this was a scam and I had money taken out of my account, due to my actions."
Hertfordshire Police, Scam Fraud and Trading Standards have been contacted.
With Christmas looming, this is the perfect time of year where offenders will most active.
To ensure you safety, make sure that you never give out your address, bank details and card details over the phone to people to you do not know.
