Joining Forces for Armed Forces Week 2018
Published on 26 June 2018 10:00 AM
This week sees the celebration of National Armed Forces Day, we want to make sure our veterans wellcheck service, Joining Forces, is helping as many Worcestershire veterans as possible.
Our Joining Forces programme, in association with SSAFA, is supporting the quality of life and wellbeing of veterans in Worcestershire.
There are many veterans living in the county, many of which may not be aware of how we can help them. The dedicated Joining Forces team help and support veterans, who are born before 1950 and served at least one day in the forces or reserves, in the following ways:
- Applying for medals
- Benefits & money matters
- Mobility and aids
- Using computers and digital technology
- Reconnecting with events in the local community
- Access to military specific charities
If you or someone you know could benefit from the service, see our contact details at the bottom of this page.
Alongside our provision of the service, we are thrilled to now be officially committed to the Armed Forces Covenant.
On Armed Forces Day on Saturday 30th June, you can find our team out and about in the following places:
