Digital Champion Volunteer
Time and Day Required: Monday - Saturday (Wednesday, Fridays and Saturdays preferred), 3-4 hours, between 10am and 4pm
Minimum length of commitment: 3 months
Report to: Digital Inclusion Worker
Role Overview: You'll be providing digital skills training and support to older people. This will mostly be one-to-one sessions, guided by the learner, covering anything from setting up an email address to applying for a blue badge. Sessions will be delivered across a variety of devices, including phones, tablets, and computers. You will also highlight important internet safety advice, helping older people to protect their personal information online.
There may also be opportunities to support with group digital sessions. This could be supporting a group of more advanced learners, or leading one of our digital activity sessions, like our Love Music group, which searches for songs on YouTube and discusses memories.
This role is available at our Activity Centre on Greyhound Road and at our Charity Shop in the West12 Shopping Centre.

Experience Required:
- An interest & experience in general IT with a good understanding of Microsoft Office
- Ability to use and explain the use of the internet, wi-fi, tablets, smartphones and laptops
