The difference a gift in your will could make

This year, we have been very grateful to receive donations left by service users and supporters in their wills. We are deeply saddened that these individuals are no longer with us, but we are incredibly touched that they chose to leave these wonderful gifts to older people in Hammersmith and Fulham.
These gifts are very generous, and to celebrate the kind people who left them to us, we want to share their tremendous impact on local older people.
Thanks to these gifts, we can provide vital services to those over 50 in the borough. We have been able to continue to offer our daily hot meal for a subsidised price of just £2, giving people access to healthy, home-cooked food at an affordable price. With approximately 140 meals being served at our Activity Centre every week, they are also an excellent opportunity to socialise.
We have also been supporting local older people to maintain their independence, using these donations to cover the costs of transporting residents to a supermarket and returning home so they can do their shopping or matching volunteers with people who need support. Our shopping service is currently used by 65 people, most of whom are otherwise housebound. At the same time, we have almost 50 ongoing practical help partnerships, supporting people to collect prescriptions, attend appointments, and much more.
These are just a few examples of the vital work enabled by the generous gifts left in service users' and supporters' wills. We are immensely grateful to these kind individuals and their families.
