Watch This Space - Memory Café

If you or someone you love is living with dementia, we want to help.
Age UK Hammersmith & Fulham, in conjunction with Visiting Angels, is opening a Memory Cafe at our Activity Centre on 11 April. This is where people with dementia can come together and share their experiences, get information and advice, and make new friends. We believe having a safe social environment like this is one of the best ways to enrich lives.
So, what is a Memory Cafe?
Memory cafes provide support, activities and information in a relaxed social environment for people with or who are concerned about memory loss. The idea is that they can come together, play games and participate in activities that stimulate their minds.
Activities vary according to peoples' preferences; however, they typically include elements to encourage reminiscences, such as music, poetry, photos and quizzes, and arts and crafts.
Occasionally, guest speakers attend to talk about topics of particular relevance and interest to attendees.
