"It's been really tough since I got made redundant. And it's definitely gotten worse with how expensive everything is now. I know the cost-of-living crisis has hit everyone, but I'm blind, so I need a lot more technology to help me day-to-day. It's freezing, but putting the heating on is so expensive.

I now come to Age UK Hammersmith & Fulham for my excellent lunches. I honestly don't know what I would do without them. I've made some wonderful friends here, and it's nice to have somewhere so welcoming I can go. But really, it's the lunches. £2 for a meal means I can have the heating on at home. It means I can afford to get myself through the winter.

They're keeping me alive."
