Getting the COVID 19 Vaccine

Interested to know what the vaccinations have been like we caught up with Margeurite, a regular at our Fulham FC socials.
Margeurite said she felt anxious at first because she was worried the vaccines had been developed too quickly and hadn’t been tested thoroughly. Her children urged her to have it while her grandchildren cautioned her against having it, in the end when she was invited to Parson’s Green surgery she decided to go for it.
She said Vicky, the nurse who administered the vaccine, was lovely and really put her at ease and even obliged her and her daughter with a photo to mark the occasion and to share with us.
She experienced some side effects, a bad headache, high temperature and a very sore arm but in a few days she was well again.
Margeurite has been in lockdown since December 2019 as she had fallen ill before Christmas that year. While she’s still not going out until she has her second jab, she says she’s been keeping herself busy.
When lockdown eases and she’s had her second jab, she told us she is most looking forward to meeting up with her club from the church and playing Bingo with us at Greyhound rd.
We’re looking forward to seeing her too.
