Our Facebook group is an online community hub where you can make new friends and stay in touch with one another, as well as with Age UK Gloucestershire and some of the individuals and organisations working with us.
We established this Facebook group back in 2020, when the pandemic meant that people were no longer able to meet up in public spaces. Although our Social Groups are, thankfully, back up and running, the online group lives on as a central hub! Group membership is growing every day, and the group provides a space for members and the organisations we are connected with to share information, stories and suggestions.
How to join!
The group is private and moderated by Age UK Gloucestershire. Older people around the county who use Facebook, can request membership by looking for Age UK Gloucestershire Social Groups or clicking the link below. If you’re unsure about how to use social media, our Digital Champions volunteers can provide fantastic guidance! They can talk you through every step of setting up an account, finding your way around and staying safe and secure.
