Equliaw have been busy fundriasing for older people in Gloucestershire, holding raffles, bake sales, and even treasure hunts - all to help older adults enjoy a better later life.

Stagecoach West

On 7th August 2025, a dedicated team of eight Stagecoach West colleagues laced up their trainers to walk and run part of the 94-bus route from Gloucester to Cheltenham and back – a whopping 8.2 miles each direction – in aid of Age UK Gloucestershire.

Swapping bus fares and timetables for running shoes and energy gels, the team raised a grand total of £1,340!

Richmond Villages

Richmond Villages in Painswick, Cheltenham and Wood Norton undertook a chartity bike ride entitled Tour- de-Richmond.  The ride coverd 85 miles and spannned the three Richmond Villages locations, symbolising the unity and shared commitment of the communities to support older people across the county.  The event took place on 21 August 2025, raised a staggering £600!

Dancing for Fitness and for a Cause

Hi I'm Tracy and I've been part of the team here at Age UK Gloucestershire for 11 years. I look after marketing for our charity so it's my job to make sure that older people across the county know about our services and how to find us. And I love it!

  • Support Devi's Fundraising

    Devi Sundar is passionate about combating loneliness, empowering older people, and advocating for systemic change. Through her work as founder for Tele-Therapies Ltd, Devi has become one of our Fundraising Heroes!

  • Simon's 10K Challenge

    In July 2024, Simon undertook an incredible challenge to run the Frampton 10K. He trained for many weeks before the event and smashed his previous time under an hour, raising over £200! We're very proud of our hero Simon.

  • Sponsor Team Brio

    Brio Retirement Living's residents and staff undertake a mammoth virtual walk travelling 737 miles to reach the Olympic stadium via each of the Brio sites, from Aberdeen to Stow-on-the-Wold and then London, before crossing the channel to Paris' Olympic stadium!

  • Become a Hero Partner

    Our valued partners at Ableworld in Gloucester gathered some incredible prizes from their mobility-aid suppliers and ran a raffle in aid of AUKG, raising over £300! A great big thank you to our heroes at Ableworld Gloucester. They'll be supporting us again later this year...
