If you’re finding it hard to manage in your own home, you may decide to move to where you can get more support. We
can talk to you about all the options available. Our Help Team are experts and will discuss when you may need to contribute towards the cost of your care, as well as tell you about other grants and benefits.

Homeshare
Being able to remain comfortable, supported and safe at home is a priority for many people. Whether you live alone, are experiencing physical difficulties, or feel vulnerable living at home, having someone else sharing your home could make a real difference.

Digital Champions
Sometimes knowing where to start with technology can be daunting. Our Digital Champion Volunteers can help you embrace all things digital, safely and with confidence. This support is provided free of charge to digitally excluded older people living in Gloucestershire.

Age UK Gloucestershire has a range of publications that give you all the information you need to make informed choices, which can help you to live a safe and comfortable later life. You can either read them online, or sign-up to have them sent to you in the post!

Our Out of Hospital Team
Our team work alongside you to make your return home as smooth and stress-free as possible, ensuring you have the right information and know how to access services and support for you.
This includes practical assistance such as arranging meal deliveries, helping you access the services you need and finding ongoing care or support options. We can also arrange for one of our volunteers to visit you at home.
Our service is available if you are aged 65 or over, living in Gloucestershire, registered with a Gloucestershire GP and being discharged from one of our county hospitals.
