Stay in control of your health

When we talk about staying well and staying in control of our health, there is one small thing everyone can try. It is a small thing that can make a bigger difference than you might expect!
The NHS App is a great way to stay connected with health services. It's convenient and easy to use. Whether you’re one of the 30 million people who have already downloaded the NHS App onto your smartphone or tablet, or someone who’s thinking of giving it a go for the first time, there’s plenty of ways it can work to keep you connected and in control of your health.
Using the NHS App
Through the NHS App you can order repeat prescriptions without needing to call or visit your doctor’s surgery, check your medical records and test results, check your outpatient appointments at Gloucestershire’s main hospitals, and view or cancel appointments at most of Gloucestershire’s GP practices. The NHS App also provides health information at your fingertips, with direct links to symptom information via the NHS website.

If getting online or using digital technology is a challenge, there is help available. Age UK Gloucestershire have a team of digital champions waiting to help you at social groups
DigiHubs also provide one-to-one support across Gloucestershire and can guide you through setting up the NHS App on your device, as well as turn on notifications so you can get real time messages from healthcare organisations via the App.
