Age UK Gloucestershire's volunteers come together for festive celebrations!

Thanks to the generous support of our funders The Julia & Hans Rausing Trust, our volunteers celebrated a great year of achievements!

Held at The Farmers Club on 19 December, Our CEO Matt Fellows acknowledged that Age UK Gloucestershire’s volunteers are our ‘best investors’ giving their time for free, striving to achieve our vision of making Gloucestershire the best place in which to grow older 

37 of our volunteers and trustees joined members of the staff team to take the opportunity to relax, mingle and make new friends. Long service awards were made to a number of dedicated volunteers including two who had each provided over 9 years of service. 

Volunteers from all Age UK Gloucestershire’s projects were represented including digital champions, out of hospital team, help team, hospital hub, social groups and the Grapevine editorial team. It was great to hear them sharing their experiences of supporting the older residents of Gloucestershire.
