Why do we value old objects over older people? Age UK is here to change how we age. Make change happen
Here's how, with your support, Age UK is supporting older people through the cost of living crisis.
Every older person should be included and valued. But that isn't the reality. As we launch our new campaign, fronted by acclaimed British actor Richard Durden, we're asking: does our current society reflect the way we want to live our later life?
The UK population is ageing. A greater proportion of us than ever before are older. Despite this, older people are facing significant challenges, and too often are completely unsupported.
Whether it’s loneliness, poor health, poverty or not getting the care we need to live with dignity, older people are struggling – and society isn’t adjusting quickly enough to help, or to see the potential older people offer.
Age UK is here to change how we age
From providing specialist, impartial advice to research and campaigning, we’re determined to improve the experience of getting older in the UK – now and in the future.
That's why we’ve chosen ‘Let’s change how we age’ as our new brand strapline. It's a rallying cry to all of us who want to build a society where older people are included and valued.
Age UK Campaigners, like Hazel with Age UK East London, are championing the rights and needs of older people, creating lasting change for better health, support and inclusion across the country.
Your donation today will make change happen by supporting Age UK's vital services - from the Age UK Advice Line to our telephone friendship services.
Through our campaigning, we’re changing the way older people are treated and represented in society. Add your voice today.
Help us change loneliness into connection, worries into answers, and even old clothes into much-needed funds that keep our services running.
