Terry's call to the Age UK Advice Line opened the door to claiming Attendance Allowance and Pension Credit, which has enabled him to keep his Winter Fuel Payment.
“I went from being under tremendous financial pressure to being reasonably financially independent,” says Terry. “But so many pensioners this winter will have to make a choice – do I eat or do I heat my home? And what a choice that is to have to make.”
