Dunelm and Age UK

Delivering Joy to older people in need this Christmas.

This Christmas, Dunelm will be working with a number of local Age UKs to deliver a Christmas gift to older people who might not otherwise receive one as part of their Delivering Joy campaign.

Delivering Joy is Dunelm’s annual Christmas campaign that embraces the gift of giving and helps deliver joy in local communities to those who need it most and the people who care for them, including to local care homes, primary schools and refuges. Last year, Dunelm donated a whopping 125,000 gifts!

How you can help

Help us Deliver Joy by giving a gift to someone in their local community that may otherwise go without.

  1. Pick a tag: Every Dunelm store will display a Christmas tree bearing tags featuring the names of local individuals and an idea for a gift we know they would love to receive.
  2. Buy or make a gift: Buy or put your crafting skills to use and make a gift to donate. Join your local Knit & Stitch group for inspiration and support while you create something unique
  3. Drop it off in store: Pop your pressie in a gift bag and bring it back to the store you collected your tag from by the date on the tag.
  4. If you can't come to store: You can still get involved by making a donation.

Every gift and donation will be delivered by Dunelm's colleagues to make sure they are with the right recipient before Christmas.

Older people have the right to feel valued, feel included, and feel the joy of being truly at home.

Which is why Dunelm is supporting Age UK over the next three years aiming to raise at least £2 million.

How our partnership will help

Every penny raised will go towards practical Age UK support to help older people in their homes and communities:

  • information, advice and friendship delivered over the phone across the country
  • frontline support in communities where Dunelm colleagues and customers live, delivered by local Age UKs.

Plus, Dunelm is committed to using all their assets to help older people in their communities directly – including staff volunteering, donating products or through customer activities in store, in Pausa Cafes and online.
