Volunteer with Age UK Gateshead – Make a Difference in Your Community

At Age UK Gateshead, our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. By donating your time, you can help enrich the lives of older people in our area, offering companionship, support, and much-needed services.

We have a wide range of volunteering roles to suit your skills and interests, including:

◾Mini Bus Driving – Help transport older people to and from our clubs.
◾Bingo Calling – Bring fun and excitement to our community events by calling numbers and engaging with participants.
◾Friendship Groups – Assist in running social gatherings that provide a welcoming environment for older people to meet new friends.
◾Day Centres – Support our team in offering daily activities and care for older people in a safe, friendly environment.
◾Dementia Support – Make a meaningful impact by helping those living with dementia through specialised activities and companionship.
◾Charity Shop – Help in our charity shop, where funds raised go directly to supporting our services.
◾And much more! Whatever your availability or interests, we have a role that can make a difference.
